Triund is a location of Dhauladhar range near Dharamsala, the center of Tibetan culture and one of the most famous destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Triund is the trekking spot many travelers decide to reach. The starting point of the trek to Triund Hill is in Dharamsala and specifically in its upper part McLeondganj.
Triund Hill is more than 2,800 meters high and from the top one can see Dhauladhar range and Kangra Valley. It is easier to trek there in spring or summer, in winter it may be more difficult because of the snow and worse visibility. If you are not sure you can hire a guide. It may be only one day trip but there is a possibility to stay up Triund in the Guest House or in own tents.
Trekkers don’t need to take their own food and drinks as there are few shops but it is recommended to have something on own.
